First Article for NiemanWatchdog

For the next several weeks I’ll be on special assignment to NiemanWatchdog, the nosy arm of the venerable Nieman Foundation at Harvard.

Watchdog’s mission is to try and frame the questions the press should ask and I’ll be working with editor Barry Sussman to ask questions about the condition of Congress. Is it really broken, how badly and what can we do about it?

My first piece, an interview with Fordham polisci professor Tom De Luca, who argues the filibuster is an unconstitutional warping of the Senate, is online. Look for more soon.
